We have a real shot at making this one of the largest peaceful protests in modern American history.
We now have more registered events than we did for the last No Kings day in June.
The last No Kings day had 2,100 events planned. We currently have over 2,200 events planned across the nation for October 18th.
Something that significantly helps it to just keep talking about it. Talk about it however and whenever you can. With friends and family, and maybe that coworker who might end up surprising you.
Keep sharing posts when you see something that resonates. I know it feels like screaming into the void sometimes. Do it anyway.
Get creative if that’s your thing. Make art. Create Jewelry (…Paperclips?! Iykyk). Write something. Whatever works for you will help the cause.
META platforms make this more difficult due to censorship. We still have places to talk like here on Substack or Bluesky. Real life conversations still matter more than any algorithm.
The censorship is disheartening but it’s not the end of the conversation. It’s just where the conversation moves.
This movement grows because you keep going and you keep standing up for what’s morally right, even when it’s hard.
