Your, “What’s Your Connection To The Military”, is missing an option.

I am a retired federal employee of over 3 decades. I worked at a Military Base and swore an oath to the Constitution, NOT a person. My conviction to my Constitutional oath is as strong today, perhaps even stronger, than the day I swore it.

We federal employees, active and retired, are approximately 4 million strong.

I stand with the Righteous 6.

Really good point! I always think of federal workers as silent warriors in the federal government and I wish we would think about the role they played in Armistice Day and other wars throughout history.

I always thank my federal worker friends for their service including on Veterans Day because they may not wear a uniform but they play a major role in being an anchor in institutions and when they work alongside the military, they are the subject matter experts and trainers that get them ready for their next assignment including to survive in conflict zones.

It needs to be said but is not said enough, America needs to understand that most federal workers are apolitical heroes who keep continuity even throughout all this chaos. They are not the deep state, they are you and me, our neighbors, our brothers, our sisters, they are America!

Thank you very much for the ‘silent warriors’ comment. I’m retired from Civil Service (Dept of Veterans Affairs). My friends and former teammates struggle to continue to provide top-notch care to combat vets with PTSD. They’re quietly having to fight the system just to stay mission-focused.

I have faith that there are many federal workers who also quietly obstruct the regime and know where the receipts are for a future reckoning. Attacks on federal workers is what got me writing on Substack in the first place!

Thanks again friend!

Thank you for your service and let them know that they are not alone, I speak to many like them who are also having to quietly fight the system.

Federal employees, service volunteers, and military service members are all bound by the Hatch Act which expressly prohibits partisan political participation. The Trump administration violates the Hatch Act every time he or they use the military or any federal property, (such as the White House or Air Force One) for to support or even to imply support for expressly partisan behavior.

I, too, swore that oath when I began service as an AmeriCorps VISTA. Peace Corps members take that oath. The Corporation for National and Community Service (AmeriCorps) had members serving and living in every state, most cities, and most rural areas of the US, as well as in National Parks and Forests and working for FEMA. There are about 220,000 Peace Corps alumni and over 1 million AmeriCorps alumni. We are everywhere.

I was a research scientist at Edwards Air Force base and swore an oath to the Constitution. I also stand with the 6, other members of Congress should understand they are a critical part of Trump's insurrection. Even naturalized citizens like Musk and Melania Trump swore an oath to the Constitution.

This is how dictatorships work-repeating lies until enough people believe, institutions are co-opted or taken down and ultimately the military becomes loyal to the dictator and it’s game over. We are at an extremely dangerous inflection point with regard to the latter. Millions need to now stand up, speak out and remove the terrorist in the White House and his minions removed!

This has to be one of the best analytical pieces on this issue. I have to admit that I did not know there was a 50501 Veterans but follow 50501 avidly. These guys are the real heroes! You should also dig into the Rachel Maddow piece on Trump suspiciously having foreknowledge of Jair Bolsonaro's attempted escape from custody to avoid his 27 years prison sentence for fomenting an insurrection. Trump should be in prison for his insurrection but we have a weak SCOTUS and Congress that are enabling his fascism.

I wonder if an organization like 50501 can put up a billboard saying the righteous 6 are not seditionists ? This really seemed to piss Trump off, and that’s good.

Nominate all 6, especially Mark Kelly for the Nobel Peace Prize for standing up for the Constitution and laws as were intended. Leaders bravely standing against the obvious tyranny of this lawless, Fascist administration.

You mean the “Patriotic6”. Why reinforce the word seditious in the headline. That’s what the other side is using!

Another day another Trump atrocity. He buries America with lies, insults, vindictive assaults, endless personal attacks, pardons for criminals, the list has no end. The sooner his reign of terror is over the safer our country will be. The opportunity to begin this recovery is next year to vote the removal of all his Republican enablers in the Senate and the House out of office. Replace them with progressive representation. The dangers are real, they are immediate, we are running out of time. VOTE, don't be complacent anymore as 2016 and 2024 demonstrated. Never give up defending our freedoms.

Especially when they're ' interpreted ' by Trump's diseased brain. Anyone with common sense (rules out MAGA) knows that lawmakers saying " Don't break the law "is hardly terrorism worthy of a death sentence, unless you're Trump and committing TRUTH is beyond his comprehension.
