I wanted to be kind to my neighbor. I went to Canada for the day!

How tiresome this is all becoming. Torrential Trump coverage. No respite. Turmoil begets tragedy, Trump is a master of both. And where are the Epstein files? Buried deep in dungeons of the DOJ, safely away from revelation to the public. America is but a shadow of what it was. We no longer shine. We are reduced to a dullness equal to the dimwitted dolt ensconced in the Oval Office. How sad. Try as hard as I do, being optimistic becomes more difficult daily. History tells me the odds are not in our favor. I'm pushing ninety, so limited time remains for me. Can the earth survive? Can humans? The planet is burning, global warming is real. We reap what we sow.

Horrendous environmentally and a waste of our tax dollars

I worked and saw a few fireworks while driving home. Nothing crazy.

You couldn’t have paid me to be in DC July 4th. Sounds horrible.

I watched the NYC fireworks show and then watched the DC fireworks show (both on tv). Thought the NYC show was awesome and the DC show was meh. The NYC show was well thought out and a beautiful choreography. DC didn’t seem to have any choreography just lots of the same type of fireworks blasting over and over.

Watched PBS, celebrating they are still here!

My brother died Memorial Day weekend. I didn't really feel much like celebrating this fourth of July. He was in the Naval Reserve and would not have approved of the buffoonery surrounding this event.

Trump doesn't give a shyt about the people. Had I been there, I'd probably have died from such severe air pollution.

When will people start marching in their streets - and stop waiting for the politicians to fix things. They're working their hiney's off and we sit and watch our phones. If you're not part of the solution you are PART OF THE PROBLEM !

By 8:00 P.M. the channel was full of smoke -- from fireworks, or beach fires, probably both. We set them off at midnight here in Alaska because it's too light otherwise.

Juneau goes all out, a big bang. It's the time when the whole community comes together, greenies and gear heads. We run the full spectrum here. My friends said "we're not celebrating our country so much, as celebrating our community." They wore the colors, and the denim, and the jorts. I wore army green fatigue. Celebration, resistance... to each their own. Xo.

I couldn't believe my eyes. Straight up, red, boom. Boring. Clumsy. And soon smothered in smoke. Of course. Trump.

I am a bit worried about the people who were under it, or alongside it. MAGA folks who may not realize how unpleasant COPD is.

And I feel very sorry for the citizens of besieged DC. Wearing an N-95 mask in high heat 🥵

Quiet...no celebration to speak of...
