I work at home and plan to walk out into the street with a protest sign and walk up and down the street at 2 pm on 1/20. I’ll text my neighbors that I know are on side and ask them to join.
Difficult to determine how effective this particular protest will be. Too many adverse factors exist for it to be of much impact. A week day event symbolic for workers of course but obstacles for federal workers to protest. Unlikely for a general strike to be popular now. My concern is trying to be too diverse in approaches for protest. The No Kings was very successful because Trump is doing exactly what a monarch does. In doing so, he promotes the desire for others to emulate him thus creating a strong support system. It would seem our best course of action is to focus on one theme, keep the pressure up to illustrate Trump's continued flaunting of lawlessness and his destroying of our freedoms. We must not give up. The cause we champion is the one of honor and history has an excellent memory of what the honorable have accomplished. Stay committed to remove Trump.
I am retired, but will disobey by Not Buying Anything on January 20th. I will make my protest an entire day and be grateful for all others who are working to stop the Trump Regime.
My biggest barrier, as written before, is living in South America. I send my wishes for success, and may the Orange roll downhill (like a reverse Sisiphus)!
I am retired live in 1 of few red Counties in Ca. I will see if we’re having 1 close but I am in foothill of N Calif a walkout is a great idea by in foothills in Red County will be lonely walkout. I know the NO KINGS DAY here was great we will see what happens

This is sickening. We must remove him for our own sanity, democracy, and women’s rights also civil rights. As well as due process. Then impeach all 6 of justices. Start over with 25 year term each. I strong feel Musk should be investigated on manipulating an election using the software on results of the 2024 election and have him take the stand along with Trump as I do believe he wasn’t elected

I think standing outside on your street with a sign should be a basic eligibility for protest. It doesn't have to be "organised" just a sincere expression of how you feel. Take a selfie and post it online. It all adds up!
I am retired so no job to walk out on lol. I also have a mobility issue: I have PAD in my legs so I can't walk more than a block before I have to stop. This has been truly frustrating as all I can do is drive to an event/protest, park the car & support it but BEING THERE. I usually try to find a spot ahead of a march so I can see them coming & yell & clap. Im 68 & have seen & been to many a protest so not being able to fully participate is a drag but it certainly doesn't stop me. At least I'm there showing support. I'll tell my friends about it as I always do ... I'm a loud mouth democrat! That's all I got right now lol. ✌️
To have this event on a weekday is self-defeating. Too many people work and are not going to risk walking away from their jobs. Then you will have a misrepresentation of demographics, with seniors dominating the scene. Schedule something as important as this on a weekend when most people can attend.

”dominate ”, if that’s your preferred phrasing, by sheer number. We outnumber you, year over year. Even mortality hasn’t sufficiently culled our population to below that of non-seniors, if lopsided demographics is a concern. 2) More important: What is…your specific concern with the representation of a senior demographic? Just the numbers? Messaging?Something else? Depending on the significance or reasonableness of your concern, perhaps this could be addressed.

I’m retired so no place to “walk out” of. But would participate in demonstration again at the courthouse, etc.
Retired, will join a local walkout. See all fellow walkout protesters at 2 pm on 1/20.

Walking out of work... As a state worker I can take personal time.
