Exactly civil disobedience needs to be ramped up. Americans are too fucking complacent because it isn't directly affecting them YET. They sit by the sidelines looking from the outside, saying what pity, how can this be happening? Well, it's happening because the American people have been indoctrinated by the GOP to think small. To see immigrants like the enemy. When the true enemy are the billionaire oligarchs who are now in charge and making us in the bottom point fingers at each other when we should be looking to what these evil pieces of shit are actually doing. The big murder bill they just put into law won't come into full effect long after 2026. That was strategic. So that ignorant gullible constituents can forget and blame the Democrats as per usual. It's insanity.

Exactly. A lot of calls for donations no plan.

Showing up in the streets, protesting, not looking the other way or saying something like “I couldn’t go to a rally or a protest because I had to take the dog to the groomers today”, or “my kid had soccer practice”.

We need strength in numbers, not donations. Because when ICE kicks in one of our doors, and drags away a family member, that they made a mistake by going to the wrong door, a $10, $20, $50 donation will NOT stop these unidentified bandits, kidnappers, criminals who are just rounding up individuals off the street, many to never be seen again.

An innocent man was brutally TAZED at point blank range, in A WALMART STORE by ICE BOUNTY HUNTERS, WHILE WALMART EMPLOYEES STOOD AND WATCHED, while a manager of the store had the individual who was recording it all, escorted out of the store, told they had to leave.

We MUST boycott businesses that support this type of cruelty, so they start to feel it in their profits!!

This is not a plan, it's a concept. I too want to solve the issues at hand, however, I have been through many protests over the years and I learned that without doable strategic and tactical plans time, money and energy is wasted. Good luck, but I won't be donating.

The most effective way to defeat fascism is through a multi-pronged approach that combines societal awareness, political action, and resistance. This includes challenging fascist ideologies, fostering a strong and inclusive civil society, and holding those who promote or enable fascism accountable.

Here's a more detailed breakdown:

1. Challenging Fascist Ideologies:

Promote Critical Thinking:

Encourage media literacy and critical thinking skills to help people identify and resist fascist propaganda.

Educate about Fascism:

Increase public understanding of fascism's history, ideology, and tactics to recognize its dangers.

Debate and Discredit Fascist Ideas:

Engage in open dialogue to expose the flaws and dangers of fascist arguments.

Highlight the Negative Impacts:

Emphasize the human rights abuses, violence, and social and economic devastation that fascism brings.

2. Fostering a Strong and Inclusive Civil Society:

Strengthen Democratic Institutions: Support independent media, fair elections, and the rule of law.

Promote Social Justice: Address inequality and discrimination to prevent the conditions that can fuel fascist movements.

Build Solidarity and Unity: Encourage collaboration and cooperation across different groups to resist division and polarization.

Support Marginalized Communities: Protect and empower those targeted by fascist rhetoric and violence.

Encourage Active Citizenship: Promote civic engagement, participation in public discourse, and holding those in power accountable.

3. Resistance and Opposition:

Organize and Mobilize: Form coalitions and alliances to resist fascist organizing and activities.

Use Non-Violent Resistance: Employ peaceful protests, boycotts, and civil disobedience to challenge fascist actions.

Document and Expose Fascist Crimes: Collect evidence of fascist violence and human rights abuses to hold them accountable.

Support Anti-Fascist Organizations: Provide resources and support to groups actively fighting fascism.

Hold Power Accountable: Demand that elected officials and institutions take a firm stand against fascism.

By actively engaging in these strategies, societies can create a powerful bulwark against the rise of fascism and protect democratic values.

I have urged my Democratic senators and congressman in New York to hold town hall meetings. I will be calling or emailing them every day. If New York is next Governor Hochul needs to get the national guard out first.

I agree. ALL Democratic governors need to call up their National Guards now, before the federal government has the chance to do it. They’re planning to send ICE to big cities in all blue states. Let’s get our National Guards working to protect us, the citizens! @JB Pritzker

How about placing nail strips in front of the cars so they can’t travel and give time to help get the people out?

I agree with the urgency, but we must remain nonviolent. I think it is only a matter of time before some ICE thug gets shot, and I’m sure that is exactly what the regime wants (those morons are too stupid to realize they are being used as bait).

The resistance must grow and must be forceful. Nothing wrong with civil disobedience, but in the words of Barack Obama, “don’t do crazy shit.”

It’s already started in Texas, 2 separate incidents. One cop was shot near an ice facility by an armed ambush. Another person died fighting border patrol after the person opened fire. I think it won’t be much longer, people are frustrated, afraid, and running out of patience.

Yes. I worry that there will be a massive deterioration in the relationship between citizens and the police if they don't start to serve and protect. There will be no trust left and that damage could take decades to repair.

Agreed, Melanie. The Seattle police chief announced today that his department will protect citizens, not ICE.

That's good news. Hopefully, other police departments will follow suit, and presumably, ICE will have to show ID and warrants to police if asked which would help with potential prosecutions in future.

Here’s an idea. Every protester possible should have a gas mask and simply lay down. ICE won’t run over you. Hold your sign in peaceful protest and let ICE be the aggressors breaking the law…on video. Anyone hurt, pull a tRump and sue the livin’ shit outta them! Both as an agency and individually. Make them identify in court who was who. They’ll lose Qualified Immunity. Especially, if not identifying themselves.

Outrageous! write the DA, the AG and the Governor. California law requires law enforcement officers to identify themselves. If they are not law enforcement, arrest them. If they are law enforcement, then they violated state law and should be arrested.

Three and a half years is to long to wait for change.

We do what we can from inside. Civil Disobedience, yes, as loudly and as often as we can. But will it be enough against masked and heavily armed marauders? Or will we come to the need for outside help? It took allied forces to stop Hitler. Americans, real Americans, true Americans, we victims held hostage by a terrorist regime, may need to send out an SOS.

There has been talk about impeachment. These incidents with ICE and everything else are totally unconstitutional. Can all the journalists on substack get together along with attorneys and anyone else who still has some ounce of power drum up messages of impeachment? I hear the Dems are gathering data for this anyway but it can't come soon enough. Or what specifically do the people need to do to get these people out of office? We need to hear that message from all journalists/etc and then do it.

I believe that the next senatorial elections will swing the votes to a Democratic lead in the house and Senate. That is what is needed to successfully impeach the president.

The government has us in a headlock. I cannot afford to walk off my job to protest. Yes, I attend protests when I am not at work, but nothing short of a TRUE revolution is going to change anything. What we are seeing is what this country has been for a long time, but all the dirty “business” was conducted in the back rooms not out in the open like now. I have very little hope.
