Downtrodden and dejected, Trump moped around the White House until that fateful day when Joseph Biden was sworn in as the 46th president. Trump didn’t attend Biden’s inauguration. No, he quietly slunk away. Stealing America’s virtue, and classified documents, he retreated to Mar-a-Lago, where he sought vengeance for his decay.
Teaming with ultra conservatives, white nationalists, neo Nazis, and sycophantic media, Trump planned his resurrection.
And, here we are today. 5 years later. Much worse off than we were yesterday.
Someday, January 6th will truly be recognized for the disgusting, disgraceful day it was by all. May that day be today.
I've listened to this recording and want to remind you that the scheme to steal the election is still under way. trump has told everybody that they won't need to vote ever again! This is because he has plans to cancel the election and will this time rely on his "private army" to back him up. People should not be blind to this. He doesn't care if people are injured or die. He doesn't like anybody to disagree with him. He's staged a theatrical "arrest" of Maduro on the same date that the Epstein Files were to be released by court order or else Pam Bondi will face prosecution. He has not even acknowledged that up to 120 people died in the Venezuela raid "capturing" a man that will not be held. This was a plan that he had set up with Russia and China back in 2017 but couldn't accomplish it. So if at first you don't succeed....? At least 80 of those 120 were private citizens. Not army, not security. He doesn't care if he kills his own citizens at this point. In 2017 Russia agreed to give him, personally, not the the USA $2B worth of Venezuelan oil. He has no morals and the only god he believes in is money, which in his mind begets power. Make this known to all the protestors in the January 20th protest. They must turn out in huge numbers because he's a desperate cornered rat. Those files he knows will sink him and his donor "friends" who are also guilty of sexual abuse and rape. This is why they are donating money to this man. In any other country they would call this blackmail. He has bombed countries for this reason. Every time he feels the public will see the files, he sets up yet another distraction. Insist that they impeach Bondi, Patel and even Hegseth because it will have a domino effect and make all the others in his admin abandon him. Even his chief of staff Susie Wiles is getting ready to exit before it all blows up. Keep pushing for the files because this is the one subject in which both sides of the aisle are in total agreement. Except for one! A Republican.
Somebody should start some kind of education/memorial activity on this date nationally. Theme of “never again.” The real risk is that what happened is already fading in people’s minds and in another few years new voters will have been young children when it happened.
The wildest thing I heard that day were Trumps words encouraging the crowds to head to the Capitol and stop the vote count. The saddest and scariest thing I heard was that police officer screaming for his life while being crushed by the violent crowd. The most despicable thing I heard were the pardons.
The fact that, if this had been attempted by ANY other group, for ANY other reason, it would have been condemned by those who acted on that day. When you mention that to those who supported this action, they just stare at you blank faced.
A young person commented to me recently that he thought Biden and Democrats were already in office and allowed the attack to happen! I responded with the truth and they resisted. I told them to go google it! Yikes!

The plaque recognizing the sacrifices of law enforcement officers that day needs to be hung in the US Capitol ! Republicans have refused to do so.
