The FAA just made an unprecedented move. Air traffic controllers are unpaid, exhausted, and breaking under a shutdown that’s now the longest in U.S. history.

Democrats are finally moving to regain their identity as the true party of the working class. Now if the fossilized members of the party establishment will step aside, retire and allow the new voices of actual progressives into positions of influence, America can save itself from the corrupt Republican control which is now destroying our freedoms. We must continue to demonstrate, to protest Trump and all he represents with his disgusting enablers. Continue with our disapproval at the ballot box, VOTE for progressives, take power from the money grabbers and restore the founding principle of humanity to our government. I applaud the strong D stance on this; I 100% love fight fire w/ fire. Like how Newsom does it! Temp changes thru legal channels, approved by voters. As Ds gain power (esp where we have supermajorities), we MUST close loopholes, create & strengthen laws to protect democracy, votes, people. No more accepting "traditions" of fairness & disclosure. Legislate it & outline clear legal consequences!

We have to constantly tell ourselves that each one of these department closures in the government and resulting dysfunction with non-qualified trump sycophants leading each agency was an intentional move by Trump and Project 2025 members like Voight, Musk, Bannon, and others, to dismember our government and make sure it never works for the people. We can't separate any of the parts: between DOGE (an illegal dismantling department), firing or furloughing hundreds of thousands of workers in our government as though they weren't people with families is part of the fascist move to make this a White Nationalist NAZI country. The problem is that all the cuts they are making are affecting MAGA supporters as well. The cuts to every social program affects all of us. The No Kings Movement is the wake-up call to Trump and his racist misogynist enablers, and it was impressive. We must keep doing it over and over again. The victories on Tuesday by Democrats was also another bright light of hope that we can take this country back.
The stupidity of cutting FAA flights and air traffic controllers just shows you their inability to think through their actions. It will affect Red and Blue voters alike. The tariffs with no meaning at all are hurting Red farmers. Cuts to Medicaid and Obamacare are leaving MAGAs with no insurance and the farmers with no way to sell their crops. This is all the incredibly stupidity that Trump, etal, have done to this country. Then you look at Hegseth who will send us to war with no understanding of the Armed Services he's alleged leading. When Jerome Powell departs, Trump is appointing another sycophant who wants to dismantle the Fed and have it answer directly to Trump, The Bureau of Labor Statistics new leader will no longer give our accurate employment numbers, furthering confusion in the economy. Then there's the FBI, DOJ, CIA, CDC, FAA, DHS, essentially every government agency, and none are working--intentionally. This will eventually lead to a total breakdown, a depression, and then what. Then you take a really sick SCOTUS majority who handed all power to Trump and you see how hard we must all work and come together to say: ENOUGH IS ENOUGH.
