Thank you for compiling this detailed list. Being older people, we do not do a lot of shopping. We have avoided Walmart for years, but until recently I thought Whole Foods was good...Will be doing some adjusting here...Thanks again and wishing you a restful and enjoyable holiday...
Please, do not kill me. I buy books in English, CDs (ancient music) and DVDs (classical movies) from Amazon because here such articles are almost non-existent, shops selling those articles closed, and second-hand ones often are defective. About twice a year. Luckily, my last purchase was about two months ago, I bought Dave, Sky High, and Down Periscope. I know, I love happy endings. I easily can hold back till mid-2026, where hopefully such dreadful happenings shall be ended.
TOTALLY disagree about putting COSTCO on the "good list." COSTCO has caved in to the Trump Administration & evangelical Republicans by now refusing to stock the drug mifepristone - the drug women use to terminate a pregnancy. Total BS. COSTCO no longer sells this drug in its 500 pharmacies because they caved in to Trump & religious fundamentalists.
Thank you. I'm SO disappointed that COSTCO has sold out the women of America and caved in to Trump & radical fundamentalist Christians on reproductive rights. In many cases, the COSTCO pharmacy is the only pharmacy in more remote, rural areas. The fact that COSTCO management has decided to limit women's rights to make their own decisions about whether they reproduce or not has lost me as their customer. Forever.
I’m confused; there is “another” blackout Nov 25-Dec 2, which I am doing now. NO SHOPPING or working—if possible, and any emergency purchases with cash and at local businesses. So my household has started that one. 🙌 Great info in this post. LOVE the ice scraper demonstration at HD!!
I belive there is also this one going on. Honestly, anyway to help is amazing! Tons of organizations are participating in blackouts with their own spin. 🙌

Great information. I boycott most every day. Never going back to Walmart, unless they kill all small business, which they are doing good due to people supporting them. Boo. I shop local small business, if I buy Online, straight from company. I vote with my dollars and I refuse to vote for our shared nightmare. Google is the one I still will quit using. Going to sign up for DuckDuck Go. YouTube is hard, as independent news is my only news. YouTube and Google are same oligarch. PedoTrump supporter. Meidastouch Network is my favorite news, for the Truth.
Here’s a serious problem you need to address: Rural areas (where a HUGE percentage of folks live) have no local stores to shop in. We have no alternatives to Amazon or Walmart. Local business store fronts are vacant. We can’t use an antenna to get television. Radio coverage is spotty. We have to use satellite for internet. We drive 15 minutes just to get to any store at all, usually Walmart or the ubiquitous Dollar General.
I live in a very rural area, too. Am still working on alternatives.
A good alternative to Amazon is: Google the exact name of the item you are looking for. Ignore the AI result at the top. Below that you will usually get multiple options for the brand name object, followed by the generic object. Usually you can find something the same price or even lower than at Amazon. I give myself extra points for buying direct from the company that makes them- no middleman!
This has become habit for me. I use Amazon for the reviews, but buy things elsewhere.
Same goes for Walmart. Although we do have a local grocery store; otherwise I don't know how to avoid Walmart groceries in non-farmer's market seasons.

Thank you! If I missed any please lmk and I'll edit it later today! 😊 This post took longer to create than most so I really appreciate your comment.
😊 Well played patriots!
🙌🇺🇸
I have boycotted many of these since January. Defiance is a super power. Be defiant with your spend.
That sounds like a peaceful, and necessary effort was had!! I would have loved to have been there. 💙✌️

Thank you for this! I'll do more research on Costco and update the list to reflect this when I get home from work later.

Shouldn't Apple be on the bad list too? Didn't they donate to to the ballroom? https://www.cnn.com/2025/10/23/politics/ballroom-donors-white-house-trump
I am running out of places to shop.

Good luck!
This is an incredible tip for those who might not know about their options. Thank you!
…another tip, when googling, write in -AI and it won’t use or offer AI results 👍
That's great to know! Thanks!
I miss Google before shopping results were all ad driven. Super annoying! Thank you for the suggestions.
Yeah, I forgot to say have fun sorting out the ads 😜
