I have received action item emails from a few groups over the weekend and none of them contained this - MoveOn, Defiance, Save America. This needs to be more widely advertised.
It can be difficult to get big organizations to move in sync. We get a lot of requests to promote more actions but many established groups already have their own plans and timelines in motion and we jump in to help amplify their cause and messaging where we can. Ok - well, I was listening to the Defiance substack and someone noted it in the comments and Miles said “Wait - let’s get more info on this and put it out there.” So I know he is open to collaboration and I bet at this point, they all are. I couldn’t believe how many people didn’t know about the No Kings until after the fact.
I'll try to do some outreach this week to see if we can get a chat going or something for easier collaboration and communication. Thank you for pointing this out!
As we all know, we need all hands on deck! This has moved beyond a possible crisis into a real one and this type of action works in France because they all participate. First time I saw it, I was 17 and an exchange student in France. The school had a walk out. Everyone just got up and left midday. Culture shock for me! But it works. Have a great MLK day and thanks for all you do!
Though I feel every action is necessary, I think more co ordination, communication and interaction with other groups nationally, with more lead time and more of an online buildup to the action is necessary. I think calling for a national action that fizzles plays into their hands. We need a massive national walkout/strike, whatever, and that takes time and planning. It needs a BUILDUP, and there doesn’t seem to be one here.
I just found this last night, and I’ve been reading a lot of various pages and authors. This really needs to be/needed to be shared better somehow. If that was possible.
We need an organized protest at Congress to make them hear us. Emails are not read voicemails that maybe an aide listens to or just deleted them all are not working. We need them to hear our voices red blue doesn’t matter. We need to be heard and make them remember they are supposed to work for us!

I ‘ll be wearing a whistle around my neck as a symbol of resistance to this vile regime and encourage other participants to join in!
We can do our part, however small, & do it whole heartedly. I'm retired & will walk out into my neighborhood.
