Walkouts are coordinated civic pressure. When people withdraw participation together, the system feels it.
Why a walkout works
Marches show numbers, but don’t disrupt routine.
Boycotts create pressure, but are mostly invisible.
Walkouts do both: visible & disruptive.
Why we’re doing this today
Authoritarian politics expand through repetition and silence.
A walkout answers the test: We’re not passively accepting it.
If you can walk out
Showing up is documentation.
Being present makes it harder for what happens to be denied or minimized later.
If you can’t
You can still be movement infrastructure: share updates, amplify trusted reports, help information travel.
After today
Repeatable collective action is harder to contain because it’s decentralized and people can do it again.
What brought you here today? And if you’ve done this before, what would you tell someone new?
