I have done the same thing as you. I tried to figure out how to delete my account, but the button i’m supposed to push for some reason is greyed out so I can’t do it. I’ve unfollowed everybody that I had been following, and the only time I go out, there is if there is a link in Jay Kyo’s skeets and giggles.

I have friends in Portland who are participating in demonstrations. We must ensure that a Blue Wave occurs in November to get rid of this corrupt administration and all who enable it.

Kern Civic Club and the Tamale Caucus Coalition is scheduled for Saturday, March 28, from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. at the Kernville Forest Station, 11380 Kernville Rd.
Kernville, a community of about 700 residents in California’s Kern River Valley, is located within Kern County, which has not voted for a Democratic presidential candidate since Lyndon B. Johnson’s 1964 election victory.
The event is part of a series of local organizing efforts to increase civic participation in the area. Organizers say past community participation has been limited due to concerns about pushback in a predominantly conservative area, and that recent efforts — including a “safety in numbers” network formed last year through an alliance between the Upper Kern Civic Club and the Tamale Caucus Coalition — have contributed to increased local engagement.
“In a place where many have felt pressure to stay quiet, neighbors are choosing visibility — and they’re finding each other,” said Guerrera Gomez, founder of the Tamale Caucus Coalition.
According to organizers, the rally will focus on immigration enforcement, civil liberties and issues affecting marginalized communities. I live in the deep-red MAGA Heartland -- a small, rural, mountainous community where Confederate flags proudly wave. Our citizens, who have long been on the sidelines of activism due to fear of retaliation, are beginning to take a stand through a safety-in-numbers network organized by grassroots activists. So if it can happen here, imagine what is possible. Can someone give me explicit directions on how to promote this so we can spread a small-town-can-do spirit across the country?
Guess I'm the odd person out since I've never used Facebook, Instagram, or hooked up with other social media sources. Did sign onto LinkedIn by an invitation from an associate but don't pay for it. And also don't pay much attention to it. Viewing the entire concept of social media as one enormous money trap pretty much gives me all the reason I need to avoid it. Parents allowing small children to use it as a substitute for parenting are simply asking for trouble ahead. As with so many things which bring major changes to society, technology has been sold to a gullible public as the answer to everything. Slick salesmanship to the nth degree. Well, the majority of us fell down the rabbit hole, hook, line and sinker. Now this miracle of mankind's ingenuity will gobble up the remainder of Earth's resources so the oligarchs can load their bank accounts with more money. Funny thing about greed, it does have a propensity to blind people to the unintended consequences of not paying attention. No one should be surprised to see what is happening. The tell tale signs were always there. But when you jump on the bandwagon of the money men you give up your common sense and rush into the danger zone. Good luck getting out of the quagmire.
