Common Cause North Carolina found that roughly 6% of mail in ballots processed through October 24 had problems that could void the vote with two-thirds rejected as “spoiled”. And by Tuesday, Democracy Docket reported 742 voters cured their ballots while 3,672 were still at risk.

New Allegations Against Trump Emerge in Epstein Investigation
House Judiciary Committee released a report Monday compiling accounts from 11 women connected to Jeffrey Epstein’s inner circle, 5 of who accuse Trump of rape or sexual assault. The report includes a new account from former Miss Switzerland finalist Beatrice Keul who says that Trump raped her at the Plaza Hotel in 1993.
The White House denies these allegations.

Alaska Pushes Back On Federal Election Intervention Days Before the Midterms
Alaska asked a federal judge to immediately dismiss a Justice Department lawsuit that could block certification of its Senate race. The suit filed on October 22 after voting begun and which Trump said he personally ordered would delay certification if Senator Dan Sullivan loses to Democrat Mary Peltola by fewer votes than went to a second candidate named Daniel J. Sullivan Jr. It then calls for an investigation into if voters were confused. The ballot labels the senator as the Republican incumbent and the only way to investigate a voter intent is to break the secret ballot. University of Kentucky law professor Joshua Douglas called it “a press release disguised as a lawsuit.” Judge Sharon Gleason could rule as soon as Friday night.

Brazilian Supreme Court Justice Flávio Dino ordered Federal Police to investigate foreign interference in their election including contacts between people tied to the Rockbridge Network and two Brazilian businessmen, paid election posts from foreign accounts, and if access to Brazil’s rare earth minerals was offered in exchange for support. Rockbridge was co-found by JD Vance in 2019, the network says the Brazilians falsely claimed to represent it and that Vance’s office declined to comment.

A Federal Judge Rejects DOJ Attempt to Set Ballots From 20,000 California Voters Aside
A 9th Circuit panel dismissed the Justice Department’s attempt to skip past the trial judge, ruling 2-1 that it lacked jurisdiction without deciding merits. The department wants California to put aside ballots cast by people on a list of 20,000 voters that it calls “likely noncitizens”: it hasn’t shown how many of them voted.
On Wednesday, the trial judge David O. Carter, denied the request, warning it would disrupt an election underway and discount votes of citizens.
DOJ Flags 405 Washington Voters but State Officials Find Citizens on the List
The Justice Department sent Washington a list of 405 people and asked the state not to count these ballots. Secretary of State Steve Hobbs answered on Wednesday that a preliminary review found U.S. citizens, many people not registered or inactive, duplicate entries, and a PDF with no voter ID numbers. The letter also listed Election Day as November 2. According to The Spokesman Review, Washington identified 15 cases of noncitizen voting between 1982 and 2025 and federal prosecutors say they haven’t yet charged anyone in this case.

A Federal Judge Blocks The Further Tree Removal for Trump's D.C. Golf Course Redesign
Judge Ana Reyes issued a preliminary injunction this week limiting the administration from removing/damaging trees at D.C.s East Park without a court order after finding the Trump’s redesign plan was real despite denials. In a filing from this week, the Justice Department said the National Park Service will submit Tom Fazio’s championship course design to the National Capital Planning Commission on Friday and close the park south of Buckeye Drive on the 15th. The commission takes up the plan December 3 and the government appealed the injunction.
