I regularly assess how balanced I feel. I do 3 actions weekly: GOTV postcards, Visibility Bridge Brigade and Rally/March. But what helps me personally is encouraging

others to do small actions. Isolation at this time is not healthy. Not with filling the car with new activist but 1 by 1 talking to neighbors, etc. Community!

Little dick and Netanyahu wanted war over peace. Oracle wanted your data over your health. How come the billionaires get whatever they want and the actual voters who wanted the opposite are ignored? MONEY!

Two solutions, one short term one long term. First, a massive opposition turnout for the November elections and all others leading up to it. Second, structural changes to our democratic system so it actually serves the citizenry, including term limits, no gerrymandering, opportunity for more than two parties to compete in elections, etc.

I’m with you on having at least one more party. This system isn’t working because now the dems who’ve been there since Jesus was baby have melded into the rethugs. Hellfire even MTG and some other MAGA mouthpieces are starting to talk like dems! It’s obvious to me that there’s a desperate need for a working people’s party. The Dems have lost their way and the rethugs will never give up their rich donor friends when it comes to helping the people. I’ve been hearing about the Working Families Party (WFP) maybe they should be given a chance? The establishment parties aren’t taking any notice of the voters anymore. What have you got to lose. Certainly NOT your democracy. That’s toast!

Because, as usual, it's all about the money!

Focusing on a few issues. Spreading the word, writing my legislators, attending local city council meetings to participate in democracy on a local level. And I am exercising, enjoying nature and friends, spending time away from the news.

To reduce burnout, I culled my feed and stay in my subscriptions. Those who remained are more fact oriented. I also tend to stick to written things. Tell me what is happening and about where I can volunteer or show up or throw money. I do not need a vid with a creator whose angle involves getting me all riled up. I can get there all by myself.

I also watch the late night comedy on youtube. I tend to already know any news brought up and the injection of laughter helps me stay sane.

I also remind myself burnout is what they want and it gives me satisfaction to know I’m denying them that. They might be in power right now but I refuse to give them any hold over my internal world. It pleases me very much to know I’m winning at least this battle.

It’s gonna take time to force the arc towards justice and laws need written and amended to get us out, help stop another moment like this one. But, the path towards it IS there. So, I set my eyes a little down that path when I need a little boost. Just got to get enuf people heading down it. They wouldn’t be so desperate to keep us scattered if they weren’t afraid.

Joined a progressive resistance church, Unitarian. Attended a few citizen lobby days at my state capitol, volunteered to pack food boxes for immigrants. Joined Indivisible Coffee and Conversations zooms. Just joining, not organizing things myself makes it pretty easy and reduces overwhelm.

What is Oracle cloud? How will that affect Medicare patients?

The struggle to regain our humanity will be long and difficult. The obstacles are many and deeply rooted. That's the reality. Money now matters more than morality. Celebrity has replaced character. Honor and integrity have been beaten down by hubris and insanity. There are more than 300 million people in America and convincing so many to re-examine life long attitudes is not easy. Two hundred and fifty years ago a noble understanding of the rights of man took root, bringing about a nation devoted to those rights. Slowly this has eroded to bring us to this point in our history, total collapse. But as the valiant people those many years ago decided, we must now have the same courage to stand for humanity and freedom. It isn't an easy conflict, yet we know our cause is the one history records as victorious.

Small Democracy Circle actions like post carding, letters and calls to MOC, (as per the national organization Worker’s Circle) with pizza and donuts. Our little group of six support one another.
